had a long list of friends to see while Claire was working for the airlines and I had flight benefits. I have been extremely lucky to visit the friends I got scattered all over the US. Elaine , Eileen and I then volunteered for 2 hours cutting up potatoes and veggies at a Soup Kitchen for the homeless in the heart of the city. This centre is connected with the church of worship in which Eileen attends. It was a great reminder to be thankful for all that we do have!!!

From the Canyon on down, we overnighted at Camp Verde, at the first place we had ever spent over a couple of days. We had spent a week there in '11 on our maiden voyage. Krazy K RV Park is the name. The folks, although not certifiable, do have a great sense of humor. That always works for us.

... I had one of their specialty rolls, the surf n' turf roll and I can see why the bartender highly recommended it. It was incredibly delicious.

Back out to loop 101 and of course encountering more people who get in the middle lane, do ten mph below the posted limit and will not move for anything. I don't even think they would move out of the way for an emergency vehicle to be honest.
