This cemetery has 6 separate sections and therefore covers quite a considerable area. We could find few signs of the large chateau that was originally located at this site. ... for touring this city was impeccable, really. From what I hear, Ghent has quite the night life during much of the year, so this festival just multiplied it. As we walked through the streets, urinals were everywhere, trash was still being cleaned by vacuums big enough to suck up a toddler, and the last of the drunks hitch-hiked out of the city center.

... to Amsterdam. We weren’t going to get picked up till about 1pm. We dumped our bags and went for a walk. We walked around town again, past some windwills (there is 4 of them here) which is more than I have seen in Amsterdam many years ago. We met our guide at 1pm and we went on the bus leaving Belgium and going to Amsterdam in the Netherlands. That evening, I went to a restaurant the name of which I can't immediate recall and had a delicious salad. I decided to try to not use English, and the salad was about the only thing I thought I could pronounce half right. Luckily, it was pretty good, albeit a tad heavy on the raw herring. I got by though, I went back to the hotel afterwards and spent the evening catching up on my Facebookery.
