Our arrival at the Horton House B&B yesterday afternoon was, as Craig has explained, somewhat dampened. Our host's nephew, Scott, is a real character, with a quick line in banter that rather bamboozled us. Settling in, it became clear that our bed rocks like a boat, there is a general shabbiness, and everywhere there are ornaments, mirrors, and pictures crammed onto every surface, flat or vertical. I accept that Mandy-Jane and I are in something of a minority amongst our friends and relatives in that we take enjoyment from country music. It is therefore unlikely that many readers of this blog will have seen the video for the 'Zac Brown Band' song "Keep me in mind." This afternoon, a film but this morning, bizarrely being used for ...
... We had our dinner and then around 7:30 we headed over for a show put on by a local. She didn't have any music of her own but she had an amazing voice. She invited people to sing with her and passed around egg shakers. Fiona, Liam, and Quinn had a great time jamming and doing magic tricks with rocks. After a little while of listening to the voices of campers I headed up to the rock formations above to work on photography. ...
