It's now a Cathedral with a very Baroque facade. The old pillars can still be seen inside and out: Santa Lucia Cathedral - it has a lovely atmosphere. Craig walked 600 metres up a steep "track" to one crater and found a lot of loose scoria. He used the surf technique coming down whereas normal people walked. As we find everywhere, the camera does not do justice to panoramic shots. We took a lot of photos to try to compensate. They show scores of extinct craters, most now vegetated, which give it ...

... side. Everything was prepared simply, with very discernible ingredients, and nothing was overly fancy for no reason. It was all just, well, yum.

We finished the evening with a stroll through a small piazza, where the locals were watching a friendly football game between Germany and Argentina on big screens, and stopped at the neighborhood pasticceria for two freshly-filled cannoli. Oh, and Argentina kicked Germany's
    butt.
