... a nice and open square (who wants to eat in an open square in the middle of the sun at 35 degrees ?
We strolled through the village and then went to the beach.
Beaching seems to be a life style for most Sicilians, after some extensive searching we found a nice spot, where there were not too many weeds in the sea and installed ourselves amongst the locals.

We stayed the evening at home with some home made (?) anti pasto's and wines etc . But what started on the terrace was quickly disturbed by a large number of wasps so we had to retract inside the house to finish our meal. Once the food was gone it was OK to be outside again and enjoy the lovely evening with beautiful views of the sea, the stars and the 'nothing’ around us.
... down between these 3 streets. A bit easier than Ragusa and Modica with their maze of streets.
But in the end too much churches is too much churches…
We went back to our home just outside of the city to drop our fruit and food for tomorrow morning and take a quick dive in the pool, ready to go back to the city for dinner. Of course outside, of course hot, of course nice food…
... Our house this time is just outside of Noto, again in the middle of nowhere in between olive trees and almond trees. Must be a wonderful place during spring when the almond trees blossom.
We installed (have a full upper floor as there are no other guests), washed the dirty T-shirts as this is the only type of clothing you can wear in this heat and went to Noto to have dinner and a short nightly walk through the city.
... which to run for our ride. Luckily, we made it.On sun-baked bus nap later and we found ourselves on the edge of town in Siracusa. Again, not near any bus terminal or signpost of any kind, and certainly not near the "convenient" shuttle bus that the tour books promised would be ready and waiting to whisk us away! Does it really need to be so hard? We wandered around enough and asked around enough that we finally did find a shuttle, but not the ...
