We then visted Avoca, which has the oldest operating weaving mill in Ireland (since 1723) - we were allowed to wander through the working mill and watch the weaving happening.

Also Avoca is the town which was the location for the famous TV series Ballykissangel - Fitzgerald's Pub being a focal point of the town's activities!

... first bar-Mercantile. At Mercantile we started off with a welcome half pint of Guinness and listened to some great traditional Irish music. After Mercantile we went to two other pubs and had welcome shots of Baileys and each of those places. We finished off at a club before heading back to our hostel. It was a really fun night. ... along and didn’t stop until 11pm. We had a meal and we could see the small stage for most of the time but it got really crowded around 10.30, a lot of people came in on stag nights and things like that and the noise level got pretty high so we couldn’t hear so well.
