Day 7 - shopping and sightseeing

A travel blog entry by hilton.janine on Feb 08, 2015

We started the day with a walk down the road to Walmart around 730am, and yes Walmartians DO exist! Though some of the locals may think the same about Hilton wearing shorts in the middle of a Utah winter. Please excuse any spelling errors in these blogs as I get ambushed by the cat each day when i sit down to write this. After a coffee at Starbucks we took off to a shop called Cabelas. Any keen hunting, fishing or camping person ...

Day 6

A travel blog entry by hilton.janine on Feb 07, 2015

Today was spent at a place called Hardware Ranch looking at elk that migrate down the mountains into the valleys for the winter. The ranch was bought by the state of Utah in 1945 in order to lookmafter these elk and prevent them moving further into the valley risking being hunted. We had, had an amazing time in Cody it was such a shame we were leaving tomorrow but we were excited we were going to Yellowstone National ...

Not sure if it was cattle or the deer that the signs warned you about. This is the longest stretch we have had with road construction, in fact it was bad at the border of NV and UT.

After ...

So a fair bit has happened since i last got a chance to get on here and write some. After our visit at Mount Rushmore and The Crazy Horse Museum, we headed up through the Bighorn Mountains to a place called Buffalo Bills in Cody. The drive was a long one, but this was the first time that we had been in the mountain ranges. It was beautiful. We stopped at Shelly Falls, and were able to get some amazing photos. We then kept going to our over ...
