... a major resort or the inside of a conference centre/boardroom!). Our first night in the Pacific Ring of Fire began with a jolt....literally. A mag 5.1 earthquake, centered only 38 km from Nusa Dua (where we are staying) (according to the US Geological survey) shook me out of bed at 10:59:53pm ...and for those of you who are disaster junkies like me...yes, I immediately logged my report on their "Did you feel it?" ...

... is hiking the rugged coastline, if we feel like it. Maybe we'll go for a quick swim or a boat ride. We'll see...

Last but not least, we have a week in the Eternal City: Roma! Of course we'll go to the Vatican and see the Colosseum, and we're staying a stone's throw from the Pantheon, so we'll go there too. But if all we manage is to go from piazza to piazza ordering espressos, that'll be a fine experience!

Amazing what a baby can do

... had bought for my nephew Andy. We eventually got to his house and carried it up stairs but didn't put it together. Andy grabbed his bags and we headed through the city to get to the highway but stopped at a restaurant called the Works to have dinner. The food was great and the number of burger options was quite high. I can't even remember what was on mine but it was really good. Cost was a bit more than an average burger restaurant - but this ain't no average burger.
