A great day out. We caught the metro from Foggy Bottom, changing at L'Enfant Plaza for a metro train to Huntington where we caught a bus to the Mount Vernon estate, the home of George Washington in the 1700's.
It was a very relaxing location, very similar to a National Trust property in England, and so interesting to learn the history of the first president of America.
