... for a sandwich. The guy behind the counter was such a moody, grumpy old man. He kept muttering to himself and seemed to have a genuine dislike of everyone he served. It was quite funny how he was acting, although I'm glad that we only had to be around him for a short period of time. The journey to Washington passed through four states and numerous toll booths. Our afternoon then centred on a visit to the Arlington cemetery where we saw a very impressive changing of the guard, with great precision and ceremony, and visited JFK's grave which is located there. It is a very moving place to see, and well worth the visit.

... of the mass graves and how they moved all the bodies. It was awful seeing what the nazi did to them. Then we got lunch, just a hotdog from the side of the road. Then we went into the museum of American history, we went and saw some of the dresses the First Ladies have worn and all these really old cars, it was pretty cool. ... settling in we hit the pavement again and walked to the Whitehouse, it's as big as what I thought it would be! So many squirrels leaping about and friendly too!!! Then we walked up to Capitol Hill and the Obelisk on the other side was covered yet again in scaffolding grrr!!! We visited the Space and Aviation Museum! Wow that place is out of this world (pun intended!) ...
