So this isn't quite Europe, but it was a vacation day. We started off the morning with breakfast at Ruth and Chick's in Annapolis. It's this little family-owned diner right across from the statehouse. When you first walk in, you notice that one of the tables is roped off and says "governor's office." ... before walking back to hotel to relax and get ready for another travel day tomorrow.

Washington DC has been great as there is plenty to see and do. We were probably here a week or two early though as all the cherry blossom trees are about to bloom and that would be a sight to see. The weather has been kind, starting of pretty cool each morning but warming up as the day goes on and finishing a pleasant 13 - 15 degrees C.

Also, between the Washington monument and the Capitol is a huge collection of National Museums owned and operated by the Smithsonian. Usually, we've ignored museums everywhere we've been, but these are all FREE! Good job we had two days then.

One thing we didn't account for, however, was ...

... explained the past life of spy's with the gadgets and also the new stuff to be aware of in the future.

It was a great day walking around a very pretty City - we definitely cover some kms in Washington.

Early night sleep after some Mexican food for the 8 hour drive into Charlotte tomorrow!

Overall, Washington was better then I expected. It's super clean and walking the streets is lovely. It's a very touristy area but I'm glad I can say I've seen ...
