We arrived in Dunedin mid-afternoon and made our way to the B&B we were booked at for the next week. It was an old English style house and we arranged to earn our keep with the owners. ... if it hadn’t been for the fact he was genuinely proud and passionate about the brand, I’d have thought his big grin and laughter came with drinking on the job. The drinking part for all came at the end though, and I got to sample all six of Speight’s creations, favouring the dark ale the most.

Die Nacht im Haus der älteren Dame war im Schlafsack mollig warm. Als ich die Äugelein öffnete, schliefen Elena und Simon noch. Leise schrieb ich weiter an meinem Blog. Erst gegen 9:00 Uhr war jeder angezogen, gewaschen und bereit für das Frühstück. Mit einem Kaffee und 2 großen Schüsseln Haferflocken, mit Nüsse, Rosinen, einer Banane, Zimt und Zucker war ich bereit für die Autofahrt nach Dunedin.

We opted out of the tour to the nesting sites as the birds were flying above. Instead, we stopped down the road to visit the yellow eyed penguin colony.
