Day started off with final packing...quick shower, comfy clothes and cab was called. Off to the airport and Sherry did the quickest and worse packing job ever...but got er done! One hiccup in forgetting her carry on, but cab driver got her back home and to the airport with time to spare!

A day with the Ice Pilots of Buffalo Airways
... hanging around Hay River's airport fence trying to get some quick shots of the parked Buffalo planes there, guess who pulled up behind me and invited me for a spin on the ramp? Good old Joe yet again! It was an honour to meet such a passionate aviator and the perfect finale not only for that day, but for the whole trip. Yep, with this entry the blog is coming to an end. Tournament - was just awesome - we did better than we expected and were one of the teams to beat! Italy team dives a lot and Saskatchewan team (during game only) were very poor sports, so not great ambassadors for Canada. All other teams were excellent!
Italy - wow, Venice, Florence 2nd, were our favorite places. Food is just awesome, ...
A night at Aurora Village in Yellowknife
... and headed north. The bus unloaded our group at 'Aurora Village' around 8:45pm. Our English speaking tour guide, Brittany, showed us around the village in the dark. There were at least 5 teepee's on the grounds, they were large, clean and warm with hot drinks and tables to sit at. It was much larger inside then I expected.
Our group was then led to the cabin where homemade Buffalo soup was ...
