Day 22 - Last day in Rome...Last day of Wandering
... get to the terrace, where the views of Rome are panoramic and wonderful. They had murals of the views with the sights labeled, which was very nice...mostly churches! But there is a good view of many of the Roman ruins as well as a view of some of the Vatican buildings and the dome of St. Peter's Basilica. It was a beautiful morning, so it was quite a treat.

Final Day In Italy
... 3 pieces individually with Frank Ticheli conducting one they played of his music. San Marcos and Mission Hills performed Radetsky March, Junk Funk, and Joy Revisited, with Mr. Ticheli conducting Joy Revisited.
Then, for the finale, all the musicians performed three Ticheli pieces together.This was about 260 musicians at once. They played San Antonio Dances, Amazing Grace, and concluded with Vesuvius. It was amzing!

Roman Holiday
... a nearby laundromat. Our quest took us down Via Del Corso toward the Piazza Popolo Metro station. The street becomes a pedestrian zone on Saturday evenings and was jam-packed with shoppers, entertainers and early diners, which we longed to be doing. The laundromat was in a somewhat seedy section of town near the central train station but we found a bar a few doors down to tide us over for a couple of hours. Losing it in Rome
... who is a lovely wife and mother with two adorable young children. Her little boy kept wanting to crawl on the rather dirty floor, and she said that she was giving up on discouraging him. I said that you have to know how to choose your battles and anyway, that's what antibacterial lotion and baths were for! ... It's on our line, Line A, and there's always entertainment on the train from the local Romani, so that's two pluses right off of the bat.
