Tuesday July 14 - Day 1

Kevin got home from night shift this morning at 7:30. I thought we were doing good getting the last minute things ready but it still took us until 9:15 to get on the road. We managed to make it to Aldersyde (50km) before our first stop. At this rate, we will make it to the US border by tomorrow! We had to stop again in Fort MacLeod and then again in Coutts. ...

... July 8th: We got a leisurely start after a relatively peaceful night, though ear plugs help deaden the lumber mill noise downstream of us. We drove to Hailey, ID with a picnic stop along the Magic Resevoir, which was not in evidence. As we drove into Hailey, we marvelled at the multitude of private jets parked at the airfield.
