... I did fear that I had too much to do.  I made a panic inducingly long to do list in my room piled with stuff to be taken to charity shops and my parent's house and struggled with finding travel insurance. However once that was sorted I felt better until I thought of the enormity of what I'm going to do and became quite nervous.  I keep reasoning with myself that eighteen year olds travel all the time with no worries and I definitely ...

Last night saw us reach a major cruising milestone – we have now cruised more than 100,000 nautical miles. So I think that calls for a bottle of champers at the dinner table tonight.

We got up about 8.20am and had a nice breakfast in the Secret Garden self-service café; I enjoyed some cold meats, smoked salmon and cheese, ...

    The Leaving of Liverpool

... no time before we were pulling into Lime Street, bang on time. It was then just a case of getting the Metro a couple of stops along, to James Street, where a lively pub “The Liverpool”, was conveniently situated next door.

After whiling away the hours in the pub, and enjoying a few drinks, it was time to go to embark the Boudicca. The cruise terminal was only about a quarter of a mile away, so it was a matter of minutes to trundle ...
