          ... was showing in this tiny cinema, would you believe that 'A Walk in the Woods' (with Robert Redford playing Bill) was showing! It was fate, we had only hours before actually been standing on the AT!

          With only a short wait until the film started we grabbed a bite to eat in the next door café and with full bellies took our seats with Snoopy and Charlie Brown.

          ... here and I would definitely recommend this place. With no appointment ( granted the busiest part of this season is not on them yet, but still!) they started with us right after 1 pm and we were back in a slip before 3pm even with a few waits in between. And back in the slip before the crazy rain! We have not had a lot of it on this trip- in fact most of the places we visit have been in need of rain- the grass is yellow and crunchy and the leaves ...

          ... good service, very nice man, looks like a nice marina in case anyone is in the area! Troy Federal Lock was the only one without hanging ropes, we had to loop our lines around a pipe instead. After the last lock we hit tidal waters.... time to pay attention and plan our runs accordingly from now on. It was interesting to pass through the bigger cities of Troy and Albany, and for me it was fun to see Albany from a completely different point of view! After Albany's shipping yards ...
