... Michael Jackson tribute band who came on after everybody sang the National Anthem and Happy Birthday to Monterey. This was a little odd to us but it's what they do. The band were great. They sounded so much like the real thing. After sitting and listening for a while we decided to browse the food stalls. After walking past the steak sandwich stall to find that they were sold out we quickly made our way to the next stall and ordered two bowls of Chicken Teriyaki. The bowls came ...

... went early; the queue into town as we left at noon was about 2 miles long.

Didn’t use the sat-nav on the way down as the route was so simple, Should have used it on the way back as our exit from route 1 was not signed as I hoped. Interesting tour through the middle of Monterey to find Pacific St but we used our common sense and found our way home!

This afternoon we walked along the sea front at Monterey to the Aquarium.

... on the row, followed by some more shopping and sightseeing. You can definitely see why this seaside town is a popular getaway spot. Tomorrow we're on the road again as we hit the stretch of highway known as the Big Sur. Nic has also booked a tour through the famous Hearst Castle. Twists, turns, cliffs and castles - all ahead of us as we make our way to Santa ...
