We decided to take a 3.5 hr trip out into the Pacific to look for Whales. Such an awesome trip and lots of Grey Whales, sea lions, dolphins, seals. Brilliant. Big rolling waves and most fantastic weather. Don't think Dawnie was too chuffed with the waves though. Poor thing feeling a little sick and cold to the bone! Great trip ...

While driving just past Watsonville, there were acres and acres of berry farms, with Mexicans working in the fields. The smell of strawberries at one stage was delicious! We of course had the roof down on the car so the smell was intense.

They did not disappoint and the wonderful blend of stone and timber make these buildings unique and obviously enduring as they have been standing since about 1925.
