Next morning we were up and out pretty quick. We did a bit of cruising before heading into a little bay for a good hours worth of swimming. Our next stop was was Hvar, by far the biggest and most known of the towns we would go to on the cruise and touted as the up-and-coming party town in the area. Something like a new Ibiza apparently.

As it was the biggest and most popular of the towns, we couldn't really dick around as much as it was the same deal as ...

... place in the country (2724 sunny hours each year) and one of the most popular tourist destinations. Hvar town, the islands capital, is where we would rest our head. What a place! As soon as you step off the catamaran onto the harbour you are immersed in a different world. Elegant restaurants, trendy bars and a row of posh, expensive boats fill your view. There is a general sense that if you care about being seen, this is the place to be. Some of the boats had Vespa's on the ...

... accommodation at 10.30pm at the oldest hotel in Split Park Hotel. we were greeted by a wedding party with wonderful music that Sue and I sang to while we drunk a few glasses of wine before heading off to bed, music continued to 1am. Rooms were compact but comfortable and the showers were built for little people. Next morning we had a full cooked breakfast of eggs and pancetta topped off with apricot danish pastries on the balcony once again. ...

... trip, this trip was a combination of sailing time and stops, although at this point I'm not sure how many stops we had, but I think it was 3. As previously, the scenery was beautiful - clear but water, gorgeous hills and cliffs just rolling into the water, sunny skies.
Our first stop of the day was the green cave. For this we had to jump of the boat and swim into the cave as the boat wasn't able to enter the cave. ...

      The new Ibiza?

... was a great idea. And it really was. As we got down to the harbour the sun was breaking through, and by the time we had gone to get some hangover food (spinach and feta filo wrap thing that is to die for) and drinks for our expedition the clouds had gone. We slowly made out way over to one of the islands just off Hvar (we went for the cheapest little dingy that only had 5hp...) We found a little bay with a small beach on it and set up camp. It was glorious. Sunbathing and ...
