... top deck as it had rained a few nights ago and made her knee worse. They did not go as the taxi price was 100k each way which was very expensive for a short ride. The walkers really enjoyed the walk and the views. A few photos are attached. For dinner a group of us headed to a restaurant recommended by Tanya, our tour guide. ... town. We couldn't go inside the Fortress as it was closed (as of September) like many things in this town giving us the true meaning of "Off Season". Sigh. Was a nice walk though and our butts have never been more toned. Tomorrow will will attempt to leave Hvar and get to Split back on the mainland, providing the weather is nice enough that the ferry can get there. ... a bit leaky, and we were moving like turtles, so we decided to abandon ship. We docked on some rocks and said goodbye to our friend. Then we walked the rest of the way along the path. It was much easier. Then we drove back to Hvar, and were only a little bit late returning the boat!

... course) olive oil, Croatian Trappist cheese, and local bread. We celebrated quietly, but contentedly, alone in the hostel which we had to ourselves for most of our stay. The morning of Christmas, we opened our gifts to each other - Kinder Surprises. Adrian got a little puzzle and I got a tiny Porsche. Apparently, we had swapped the wrong gifts.

So, ultimately, as much as our Christmas wasn't lively, it was certainly special.
