    ... us headed up the hill behind Hvar Town to the fort built in the 15th-16th centuries. There were stairs and switchback roads, but the view was well worth it. Our intention was to watch the sunset, but unfortunately there was a distant hill blocking that view. We were glad we waited til the evening to climb up there as we would have been miserable during the day.

    I have to admit, I enjoyed this bit of the trip and am really glad I extended for the additional week.

    Another early start and full on day ahead, but making the most of my time here in Croatia. Today I had a day tour of the islands with the highlight being a boat trip into the famous blue caves, the part I was most excited about!

    Starting down at the port there were 3 boats from the same company that were heading off – 2 white luxury boats and a black military style. As usual the Croatians are so chilled and unorganized, nobody knew ...

    The next morning was a huge rush as we had to make our flight to Rome back in Split so that meant, 2 hour ferry and a Half hour bus to the airport! After 3 hours sleep you really have to try hard for at least one of you to be attentive for catching planes and any other mode of transport.     ... in their bikini’s lazing in the glamour chairs, wind in our hair and the skipper at the helm. Perfect, then dingy throws a tantrum and tries to drown itself behind the boat. The crew reacts quickly. Then it continues to display bad behavior until we bring it on to Navis. Rebellious dingy.
