      ... overwhelmed them. And, it put us behind another hour today.

      Fourth stop - Sable Falls, also very beautiful.

      Fifth stop - Miner's castle -my favorite stop. Overlook at the painted rocks cove. Gorgeous also.

      We had 170 miles to go to get to Ironwood, so we had to boogie! Made it to the hotel at around 2000 hours (1900 local with the time change).

      ... t even look up, again no problem. The third deer I could see from way up the highway. It had just crossed over the road and was munching the green grass on the shoulder across the highway. I didn't even slow down because the deer had already crossed the road. Then as I got much closer, the deer looked up and decided it belonged on the other side of the road.       Sept 10th-drove and drove and drove to western part of the Upper Penisula. Nice roads to drive on, not much traffic except for huge logging trucks. Drove to the Porcupine Mountains. Simply AWESOME. Lake of the Clouds just exquisite! One of the sweetest spots I've ever laid eyes on. Stopped on the southern boundary road-Jim said prettiest road he's ever been ...

      It's called the North Lakeland Discovery center, and it was at one point a summer camp for the area's youth. It is now used primarily for events. reunions, retreats, that sort of thing. The director signed the camp up on warmshowers, and luckily there is no overnight program today, so I get to stay in the bunkhouse, a large, clean, carpeted room with several bunks, lights, power and wifi!
