... deer, pristine woods, peace. Untouched by man, no man made structure anywhere from lookout to Lake of the Clouds. Park road took us next to Lake Superior shoreline, got out of the car-really pretty-calm and clear, clean water. Both surprised that each time we saw Superior it was as calm as a mill pond (unlike Lake Michigan which was windy most all the time).

... quite the pool shark) Grieg and Tanya were a blast. The intermingling of generations, which Kelsey described as “moving from the kids table, to the adult table”, is really enjoyable for us!

Corey and the Skeeters gave the crowd a wonderful show. He was involved in a five person ski pyramid, a few ski jumps and a big part of the entire show. I was very impressed, and to top it off he had a pair of fractured ribs! ...

... ski jump. A sky flyer starting here would accelerate to nearly 70 mph before launching themselves off the end of the ramp. They would then fly until landing hundreds of feet down the slope of the hill, which is not visible from the top of the ramp. I'm a skier and I'm used to looking down ski slopes but I've never seen anything nearly as intimidating as this.
