Got on the road jus after 7am this morning.. We were at the Sarnia boarder just before 10 o'clock and it was quiet busy so took us about 40 minutes to cross. The guy we had was surprisingly very nice and let us go rather quickly when he saw we had our green card already. We traveled up through Michigan, where the 3 Great Lakes meet. Lake ...

Beautiful sunrise over the lake this morning in Paradise, MI. Left the hotel around 7am to head to the Berry Patch in Paradise as we were told they opened at 7am. We all pulled up in front of this tiny place, and the "closed" sign was still up. Sept 10th-drove and drove and drove to western part of the Upper Penisula. Nice roads to drive on, not much traffic except for huge logging trucks. Drove to the Porcupine Mountains. Simply AWESOME. Lake of the Clouds just exquisite! One of the sweetest spots I've ever laid eyes on. Stopped on the southern boundary road-Jim said prettiest road he's ever been ...

      I'm at camp

It's called the North Lakeland Discovery center, and it was at one point a summer camp for the area's youth. It is now used primarily for events. reunions, retreats, that sort of thing. The director signed the camp up on warmshowers, and luckily there is no overnight program today, so I get to stay in the bunkhouse, a large, clean, carpeted room with several bunks, lights, power and wifi! I got on the bike a bit after 6am today with cloudy skies, but dry ground. That ...
