This RV park was situated on a high hill, and the lights of the city could be seen below. There was a smaller hill at the edge of the park that had been turned into a scenic overlook area. Metal steps went up the steep side, and there were park benches and walkways at the top. The park management had even put a large stuffed bear on the top as a joke.

By then we were ready to head back to the RV Park. So we didn't complete the Lariat Loop Historic Byway but we had a great adventure.
When we got back to the RV Park, there was a neighbor who had bought some roasted chiles. The location they got them was about 17 miles away. A long way to go for chiles so we never made it.
... ll in Denver. And when we showed up at the Hampton inn with visions of AC and showers there were no room. ****! So we spent the next 20 minutes in 98 degree temps (as recorded by my bike).
