... fabulous Mexican cuisine prepared by Chef Natalia, a wonderful day and great company. Next stop was Vail (Lionshead Village) my favorite Colorado destination. We rode the gondola to the top ,saw some beautiful mountain views while having lunch. Next was Beaver Creek, again took the gondola up and enjoyed the beauty of the Rockies. We chose the enclosed gondola at both destinations because Alex was with us and we weren't sure how he would react to the open lift. Many ...

On Friday, August 8, we left Pueblo around 10.00AM heading to Golden to visit with my niece Keezie and her partner Pat. It was an easy drive of 127 miles and we arrived around 2:00PM having stopped for gas and lunch along the way.

Then we went to the university where Chris worked at to feed some of his ...

So, we are staying in Golden, CO. Ate in historic downtown Golden and found a great restaurant, Indulge. Very inventive and delicious food. Found the restaurant on YELP! Got there for Happy Hour, and had small plates and glasses of wine! Photos are attached. And, of course, since we saw a block M on a nearby mountain, Dick had to take the photo.. probably for Colorado College of Mining.. but Dick is pretending that it might be ...

Our Saturday through Colorado was off the beaten path. We enjoyed going to Dinosaur Ridge. Here we got to see dinosaur fossils from the late-Jurrasic and Cretaceous periods on the actual mountain. We got to walk up and read the signs along our hike up.
We felt very out of shape during our walk and were grateful to be reminded that we were in the mile high city (one mile above sea level). The beautiful views of ...
