          On the Road Again

... I had plenty of time to observe the 14,000 different license plate designs as each state resident never presented a duplicate. I also noticed the locals tend to speed up in construction zones although the signs warn of a double fine for perpetrators. Part of me believes this is a state plot to lure tourists into a trap. I bet all of those odd plated speedy cars are paid by the government to zoom in and out of orange-coned zones influencing tourists to keep up ...

We were married by a justice of the peace at a courthouse in Coral Gables (while we were in town for a conference that was to be held in Orlando) 11 years ago. Going to Key West, almost 800 miles away, isn't something you just do on a whim. A couple of months ago as I was reading posts on the BMW owners group of Ga forum I saw a guy writing about doing a Saddle Sore ride of 1000 miles in 24 hours. Not knowing anything else about it and being interested enough to reply, I found out about the Iron Butt Association (IBA) ...

I know this is a blog about my motorcycle trip to Alaska, but since my daughter is getting married in less than 48hrs, I believe that deserves at least a mention as well. Despite all the planning that has been consuming my mental resources and time, I have also been anxiously awaiting the arrival of May 23rd when Georgia Grace will be getting married to AJ Pendleton at the Kensington Mormon Temple outside of Washington, DC.

          More preparations

No matter how much I try, I don't believe its possible to fully convey to you who read this blog the enormity of the time I spend thinking about or doing things related to my Alaska trip. I am sure there are things that occur that I don't include in my writing as a result of my ADHD brain being overwhelmed with competing ideas and inputs from here at the house or the myriad of loose ends I am working on tying up before ...
