... Detroit. There was so much construction we couldn't really get to the arch or back on the freeway...needless to say, been there done that, don't need to do it again. Pulled into Sikeston at 5pm. I think we finally have this camper about ready to go. We've done a lot of work trying to make it feel less like a trailer and more like home.

Lots of paint, removing old furniture, adding paneling. Switched out the queen bed with a twin and a toddler bed, and built a couch/bed contraption for me and Molly where the old air bed sofa was.

It feels really good in here. Now if everything will hold up on the road, we should be fine.

... fall is rapidly passing here. Many of the the leaves have already fallen and the colors have lost their vibrance. But, I love what remains. To me, it is still vibrant. I love the may shapes and contrasts with the evergreen backgrounds, set off by the emerald green farmlands and dotted with varied-color irrigation ponds and ribbons of muddy rivers and streams.
