This afternoon we drove up to council crest for a view of Portland unfortunately there is a forest fire nearby so the view wasn't as clear as it usually is, still impressive though.     ... said we needed to be ready to leave by 1pm! I finished my ironing, dressed and at 12:30 we were headed north about 45 minutes for a birthday party for Anita’s 50 year old GRANDSON! A nice place in the country and 30+ people. A GREAT meal - the very best baked beans, potato salad and BBQ ribs! Plus many other dishes. She said this was first beans and potato salads she had ever made! Excellent!! We arrived back home after 6. Phil called almost immediately. ...
