What a difference this time around...this is the grandparenting that we envisioned!

Happy one week old birthday, Zander! ...

... poodle with a jacket and booties to protect him from the sun and hot sidewalk, a wild rabbit in the grass, posts with many signs directing us to various restaurants, a fence made of driftwood, a metal gate with a pelican, and a mailbox with a fish as decoration.

The courtyard was busy well into the evening - people in the pool, people grilling their dinners, kids chasing lizards and just playing.
