... The primary mission of the base is technical and facility support to the nearby Cape Canaveral launch facility (not to be confused with NASA’s Kennedy Space Center adjacent to Canaveral).

On Friday, we drove to the Kennedy Space Center located between Titusville and Cocoa Beach. The visitor’s complex is on the grounds of the Center, but is just outside the controlled access area. The first thing we did was to take the bus ...

Woke to the sound of music from the noisy girls next door, at least it wasn't rap, maybe they had been there for the Miley Cyrus concert. Hope everyone is doing well! I'm going to slow down a bit on the posts now that I'm safe and sound in Florida. Thanks once again for staying in touch with us over the past two months! I am settling in here, enjoying my time, but still can't wait to get home.

Love to all!

The courtyard was busy well into the evening - people in the pool, people grilling their dinners, kids chasing lizards and just playing.
