... one of the closest towns to my parents’ house in Central New Jersey’s Little Florida of retirement villages, less than 30 miles away on a road that’s usually not too traffic-clogged. Ocean Grove is a seaside Victorian village in Monmouth County where we used to go sometimes when I was a kid because that’s where my father was taken on beach holidays when he was a kid.

... decided to call in a night. We said goodbye to Sandra and Christina and AI was kind enough to catch a cab with us to the Ferry terminal. All the way there AI was complaining about how old 32 is and how he can’t drink the way he used to and that his body can’t keep up and recovery time was longer. ... we just loved it. That was a wonderful era in the Arts. Most of the other old buildings are out-of-bounds for viewing these days.

We went out again for tea tonight - walked 5 blocks to 44th Street to John's Pizzeria for another Bruschetta Pizza, even better than the last one. We sat in a different room this time, under a huge dome, and discovered that this had been an old Gospel Church ! Amazing ! Walking back home made well and truly enough pounding the pavements for one day.
