... gear Store MEC – Mountain Equipment Co-op. We wandered around there for a while and started to understand the Canadians a bit more…. They live for the outdoors – whether it is rock climbing, skiing, white water rafting…. You name it there is stuff here for it! A new piece of equipment for us was the snow shoe – similar to the tennis racket look on the feet for plodding around in the snow…. Ha ha! Must try this out!

Finally off the bus!!
... way to meet some other people but most of the people we got on with were heading west for another day on the Greyhound to Vancouver.
As we started to make our way into the city we started to see signs of the city. The first being the high structured buildings in the center. I saw the Calgary tower which I had seen as an ornament at my Aunty Margarets. I was getting excited to be nearing the end of the bus journey!

Bulgaria definitely warrants a return visit one day, but probably not on its own - it would likely be combined with a trip to a neighbouring country such as Greece, Romania, or Turkey. It's finally official!
... just got the official offer letter. John's start date is August 15th, but due to the delays with getting the official offer letter, John is going to see if they can push that back a bit in order to give us more time to wrap things up on this end. Our Rocky Mountain High
... line. We had stayed here many years ago and it was a moment to savour seeing it from this angle. The ski-slopes on the opposite side of the Bow River showed plenty of snow and we wondered if they were still open this late in the year. The valley in this area was very heavily forested, and looked just like a dark green carpet.
