We were here once back in 2006 when we were shopping for a trawler. Happy to say the town has revived itself and the waterfront is thriving with dining and shopping.
We are staying at the Town Creek Marina. Which is a hike to town due to construction of a new bridge and road closures.

... name on the transom, Reverie (as I recall) and call on both 13 and 16. No answer. The people aboard waved at us excitedly as we passed. Another call had the same result. Weird. They disappear in the distance and we do the same. We're getting radio traffic on both channels so the radio is fine. Maybe we're not transmitting, I think, but we used it a lot the day before with the tug/barge traffic and all was fine. Hmmm ..... The outgoing tide from Beaufort Inlet ...
