Day 48: Churz nachem Zmorge hei mir ds Schiff müesse verlah. Airports galore and our first glimpse of Alaska
... dinner, my silly husband was going to order Salmon. Really, just before going to Alaska - home of the best salmon anywhere? Needless to say, he switched to a steak instead.
I'm terribly over packed (I think), but we have clothes for every type of weather. I'm a little worried if the car is large enough, but we can deal with that when we pick it up tonight. The disadvantage of packing when you're tired.

Our last night
... tunnel. This tunnel is one lane and shared by the trains, so you have to wait in a staging area for your turn to go through the tunnel. There is a charge of $12, but we wanted to see what was on the other side, so got in line to go through.
Did I mention it's raining again? When we got to the other side, there is really nothing there but a couple of small shops (ice cream being the most interesting), and a major port for ferries, boats and even cruise ...
Enroute to Anchorage
... to the monkeys - at the end of dinner as we leave we are handed mints and and extra two each for Giva and Dizi.
We spent the day firstly doing laundry (yuk even laundry has to be done on holiday).
The rest of the day other than eating and reading- Keith went to a spin class, I did pilates, Neville and Marion watched a movie, Neville went to a movie making class, looked at the shops, I had a sauna and then Marion and I enjoyed a swim ...
