We arrived in Amsterdam at around 3.00pm after a very long flight from Adelaide including a few hours stop over in Dubai. The weather was cold and wet but our excitement high, the walk from centrum station to our B&B was only 5 mins. Our home at the moment is a 400 year old house on the edge of the red light district, the Amsterdam Central bed …

As we only got to spend one night, we bid farewell with the promise to return one day. Germany tomorrow so until then I bid you all goodnight ...

All three stalls were occupied, so the granddaughter called out, "Grandmom?" The women in all three stalls replied, "Yes?" Pretty funny and indicative of the typical profile on board.

... history of Van Gogh through his paintings and this really good printmaker exhibition upstairs. It is a must see. After that we ate lunch (a vegetarian hotdog) in this massive square near the museum. We went for a really long walk afterwards, and sat by a canal and watched ducks for about fifteen minutes. At one point we saw this really weird duck ting attack this other ducks ducklings and there was this huge fight and it freaked me out. We ...
