We arrived in Amsterdam at around 3.00pm after a very long flight from Adelaide including a few hours stop over in Dubai. The weather was cold and wet but our excitement high, the walk from centrum station to our B&B was only 5 mins. What the actually **** just happened to me. Excuse the language but wait until you hear this!! This morning I left from Berlin on a bus to Amsterdam. I arrived in Amsterdam around 1045pm which gave me about an hour to get to my hostel and check in. I had directions to get there but things weren't as clear when I actually arrived at the station - it was like a ghost town. So I asked the bus driver for directions. He told me to go on a tram to ...

... afternoon. Their hostel had a bar downstairs, so we hung out there for a while and then went tour our place to change and get ready to go out. Then we were off to the Red Light District. If you haven't heard of the Red Light District, it's an area in Amsterdam with prostitution, sex-shops, sex-oriented businesses, a prostitution museum, etc. The term "red light" comes from when red lights were used for signs of brothels. Now, there are red lights that shine down on the windows ...
