Unfortunately the exterior of the building is being cleaned for ...

... bought a big plot of land on a hillside as a project, hoping to turn it into a little city for the wealthy, and he commissioned Gaudi for its design. The project turned out to be a commercial flop and was abandoned after several years, but not before Gaudi completed several kilometres of paths, an aqueduct, walkways with slanting stone columns one of which is in the form of a washer woman, an entrance with two typical Gaudiesque buildings one of which was the Porter’s house, and ...

... glad we had not planned to give it too much time.

so on the road we head to our home for the next couple of weeks at our friends Gillian's house in a small French village.... luckily we have excellent instructions from her... and some 3 hrs later we open the door to the cutest little french home... 3 floors, old style concrete circular stair case ... all set in an old tiny village ... what a fun way to get to know France.
