      ... area where we ordered lunch. Matt and Harlan enjoyed the pizzas, Danica's shrimp looked delicious and my Italian sausage was tasty on Ciabetta bread. We enjoyed a bottle of their house wine with lunch and had a great time people watching. Instead of wine testing there we returned to our original plan to visit Sterling Vineyards where you ride an aerial tram to the winery on a hilltop overlooking the valley.

      ... door and were greeted by Dan, who explained the different tastings to us. Most wineries take reservations, so they aren’t inundated by people wanting to taste their wines. We didn’t have a reservation, but they were very accommodating to us. The lady behind the counter was having a terrible time with the computer system and it eventually froze up. Eventually, we ended up at the Sterling Winery where they have a very good tour (including a gondola ride to the top of the hill to survey the valley) which culminated in a tasting by a blazing fire. All very nice. In addition, we got a glimpse of the "Real Castle" that everybody was raving about... An Italian castle which had been brought over and re-constructed brick-by-brick.
