      Aspen March 2015

... I walked the 2 blocks down Main St to the bus stop to Snowmass. I got off at the Snowmass Mall stop and walked in to the plaza to Four Mountain Sports where I had reserved demo skis. I chose the Nordica Wild Belle in 161 length. Next, I stopped by the ticket office and picked up my lift pass. This year I purchased a Mountain Collective Pass. The Mountain Collective is a consortium of different resorts and purchasing the pass allows you ...

We barely unloaded CC when it was time to leave for two weddings -- so much for "home-sweet-home." Good-bye friends and family -- we're off and running or is it chugging. Chug along with us on our travel blog.

Carbondale and Basalt are small towns down valley from Aspen
and Snowmass. They retain a bit of a western air about them but are close enough
to Aspen for land and housing to be very expensive and development very
restricted. You can be sure the cowboy types still around Carbondale are of the
      well-off sort.

After the early morning hot air balloon extravaganza at
      Snowmass Village I stopped ...
