    ... I can see why.

Today we decided to walk to Manhattan across the Williamsburg Bridge which brings you into the Lower East side. I strapped my foot in preparation for some serious pavement pounding (Susie, if you are reading this - the cortisone DID NOT WORK!!!). ... The One World Tower) part of 7 new towers has been completed close to the site of the original twin towers. At 1,776 feet tall, One World Trade Center is the tallest building in the Western World and some 400 feet higher than the originals. Over to Cathy.......I was asked to be a 'guest writer' this morning - probably because of the difficulty in putting into words the whole 9/11 effect had on the western world - it is impossible to even begin to ...

... into the iron plates which surround the pools. There is a computer nearby which allows one to find the name of an individual victim to visit it, or perhaps to leave a flower or bouquet tucked in the name. The Museum is on the same plaza and quite a moving place to visit. In fact, with death all around, it can be quite overwhelming. In any case, I certainly recommend a visit if possible.

That night we had a great dinner at ...
