    ... in near 30 degree temperatures was very much a shock to the system. Having started off in the wrong direction then correcting ourselves, we made it the 7 small blocks to the apartment. Its on the third floor (the first being the ground) of an old building owned by our host on the corner of Bedford Avenue and Grand which seems to be the main drag in Williamsburg. The owner's opened up a bar downstairs and lives below us. She bought the building 18 years ago for $125k and ...

    ... time, we snap a couple of photos at the finish line, and notice quite a few people hobbling around, I'm glad I'm not the only one. We find a nice little cafe not far from Central Park that is totally organic, the food was fantastic but the coffee not so good.     ... were not protected well enough and were, except for this one staircase, were not able to be used. These were the only stairs accessible on 9-11 and these stairs allowed thousands to escape . . . and hundreds of Firemen and Police to "run up" trying to save so many more.

    Courtney continued her shopping spree when we went to Macys which is the biggest store in world. Courts bought more makeup and really considered buying a $200 watch.

    Usually at this point, it's expected to have sex with the guy after you meet, drink or go out with. But gracefully we met as two young guys, both from other ends of the world, foreigners to the city, exploring something new together as in a sense, not to feel so solitary if we had gone out and done it alone. We thanked each other for a good night, exchanged details and faded into opposite directions.
