We left San Diego and set off North along interstate highway 5......the Pacific Coast Highway (state highway 1) doesn't start until a bit further north. Our first stop was La Jolla, first the coves, then the beach. At the coves, there were loads of sea lions up on the rocks and swimming in the sea right next to the shores. Hundreds of them including loads of babies. It was very smelly though. Next stop was Oceanside harbour. ...

... episode of the Old West. In 1871, a group of convicts escaped from a Carson City jail. A posse was formed and, during its search for the escapees. was ambushed at the base of what is now known as Convict Creek. The lake and creek were named, obviously, after the convicts. ...

We had saved most of our shopping for LA and we certainly shopped until we dropped. Adrian and dad went to a huge hunting/camping/fishing store about an hour away from where ...

I wanted to write an entry to record the unique experience I am undergoing while trying to put my life in the United States back together after traveling for 19 months. I had expected that it would take awhile to find jobs and get settled and that I would probably feel a bit anxious and frustrated at first, but I didn't expect it to take quite as long as it did. Nor did I expect that I would feel so much anxiety and longing to have stability and to have ...

We stayed at BOCA CHICA State Park....right on the boardwalk beach and ocean. I love Huntington Beach...always have, still do. Okay enuff of that.... When we got here on the 15th, it was such a relief. Finally we had a nice ocean breeze and cooler (high 80's) temperatures. We were in 100 degrees for 3 weeks...That being said, is why we do not live in Florida all year long.!?,.x,,! We spent all week just totally relaxing ...
