      ... towards the mountain. I NEEDED coffee first so we stopped at the gas station closest to the campsite. Turns out, campers get free coffee! I loved that place! Needless to say we went there the following morning too.

      We arrived on Friday, 9/19 in Hiawassee, Ga. and were only going to stay 5 nights but after seeing our spot we wanted to stay longer. We were able to add 2 extra nights and have really enjoyed our stay. I have been able to play pickleball 5 days out of 7 days:) The players here have been great and are such a nice bunch of people.       ... where we were only 5 min before closing, we managed to try 2 whites and bought one. Then back to the back deck at Lucilles for a drink and then to Nachochee Grill for burgers...nice place, nice people and yummy burgers. Then dessert at Lucilles of a very yummy chocolate.       ... to find Anna Ruby Falls but drove right past and ended up north along Rte 356. So we had to swing around through Lake Burton ...a very pretty long lake with many fingers of land so lots of coves.. Would be great for a kayak or canoe. We then drove alone the arussell-Brasstown Scenic Byway to Brasstown Bald...the top of the highest mountain in Georgia at 4700 ft. We took a shuttle to the top and checked out the vistas.       ... local French bistro. We had fresh trout with potatoes and asparagus. The fish was. Rey nice but there were only 2 small quarter potatoes and 4 skinny asparagus for 28.00 ...so not the best valued meal. But when we returned to Lucilles there was yummy chocolate cake and oatmeal raisin cookies and quite good Keurige coffee. Tomorrow we will follow a drive to Brasstown Bald past more waterfall and then explore the local pottery/art galleries and vineyards.so nighty night ...
