... riding, great switchbacks, steep fast descents, incredible scenery. Jimbo thinks these mountain roads would be worthy of a Top Gear style "great cycling" award. And we're not the only ones awe-inspired by these mountains - apparently the car chase scenes in the James Bond movie Goldeneye were shot here! (A sign post told us so!) Part way through the decent, we stopped at a shop, where we saw a lot of tourists around. A peek around the corner revealed ...

... pretty route, it took us by the side of the lake, through a nature reserve and then alongside the river into the town, we spotted a red squirrel lots of ducks, cows with bells on some sheep and lambs and some fish in the clear milky blue waters, not sure if they were trout? I failed to spot any edelweiss , Steve said they were just funny snowdrops or white bluebells, will look for some tomorrow . The walk was lovely ...

... but I was near tears for a bit. After deciding that there was no way that I was getting out of there on my own, I decided to hook my zip line roller onto the safety cables running parallel to the rings. It's a bit of a cheat, but better than calling for a rescue. Since the zip line roller was attached to my harness and could only just barely reach the safety cable, it took every bit of my remaining strength(and some of God's, I believe. ... in Grindelwald, we went to a restaurant and had a few beers outside a pub to celebrate his success on the train by himself! It was a beautiful afternoon in a beautiful villlage.

We sat by the nicest German couple on the train back to Wilderswil, and they recommended an Italian restaurant in Wilderswil. We took their advice and it was so good!
