On Oct. 3rd I left Montreal via Amtrak and traveled down to Poughkeepsie, New York. Pleasant journey! We had a special treat in that an observation car was added to the train. Once we got past customs at the border I went up there and I'm so glad I did. Here we were riding along side Lake ...

guess I could share here that a couple I met on the 2nd day of hop on/off bus were from Destin and they were also traveling on the train, named the Adirondack. We were in the observation car together. There was also a really neat lady from the 1000 islands area ...

... visit to the lake where the children could choose from a variety of water sports. The lakes beautiful and so peaceful. The days off we have had have been fun too. Ive been activity assistant for horse riding and archery and have really enjoyed it.
