... that this is where the TV show Little Mosque on the Prairie is /was filmed. Yes, we found the largest coke can at Portage Prairie. Bottoms up. Learned on the trip - Saskatchewan is not as flat as I thought it was, Manitoba is much more farming than I thought it would be and Brandon is really ...

We wanted to get on the road by 9:00 a.m. so last night we set the alarm for 8:00. The alarm comes on at the requested time and I do not want to get up at all. This is the second morning in a row that Jim has wrapped himself in the blankets and left me only with a sheet. Through the night the train had been doing quite well but for quite a few hours in the early hours many of us were woken up by the extremely rough riding of the train. It was not so much the swaying from side to side but simply the poor use of the brakes and power from the driver up front. Instead of doing things nice and gently he was hammering the brakes on ...

... frustrated. The Stampeders won soundly last night, and the Bombers have lost 7 in a row and are all but out of playoff contention. Hooters was a fun place. The food was pretty good, he beer prices reasonable (compared to $9 for a draft at the Stadium) and the girls efficient and flirty. The bus ride to the stadium (40 minutes) ) was rowdy on the way there, and crazy rowdy on the return. The newly-opened Stadium is a beautiful work of archetecture. Set ...
