Another little is the discovery that Belize requires passports to be valid for 6 months past your visit. Oops.
I called the consulate here (in Calgary) to see if this is really a problem. In a non committal way I was told it should be ...

We are all packed and ready to go. The only thing left is a big travel day. Can't wait to get this party started. We leave tomorrow and arrive in Barcelona on Sept 17th. Yikes! That is a LOT of time zones (7 hours ahead of where we are now). Looking forward to our first look at Spain! ...

... in Dryden and Huskie the Muskie in Kenora. All snapped quickly while passing through as I was determined to get out of Ontario as quick as possible as Winnipeg was but a mirage of a 2 day rest until I passed the border :)

I finished an audio book today...The Fault in our Stars... which left me balling uncontrollably several times...but was excellent and perfect for the drive. The tunes were a much needed uplift and lead to a few hours of car dancing like ...

... happy and grateful that I'd had the chance to be here, and do all these amazing things, making so many new friends, rather than sad and miserable that I had to leave them all behind. Although it does make it harder when they're getting upset and I'm trying not to!

It was of course also time to say goodbye to my trusty little car, which had seen me safely through storm, blizzard, icy roads and everything else Manitoba's weather and sometimes horrible roads ...
