Day 11, September 11th, in the birthplace of freedom, Boston. Of course, "Boston Strong" was everywhere around the city as pride from both September 11th and the Boston Marathon bombing was on everyone's mind. Personally, as a kid from Hawai'i, it was inspirational to see such pride in being an American. Being across the Pacific, we often separate ourselves from the mainland, so it was very special for me to experience today ...

Really did not want to not go home tonight. We were so preoccupied ...

We were lucky it was not very cold, in the 40's. But I did not realize the amount of snow we got in the last 2 weeks until we drove onto Steel Road and then into our driveway. Wow - the plow piled up the snow at the end ...

... more mentions of the word Mayflower than Daventry Rd shops. We had a little competition to see who could see more mentions of Pilgrim or Mayflower - I think Pilgrim just about held sway.

We had a lovely conversation with the lady in the tourist information office who had moved to Plymouth from Michigan. SHe was very keen for us to see all that Plymouth had to offer. Which we managed to do in about 10 minutes. This consisted of ...
