... couple of kilometres from here). Exhausted we make our way back down, gelato to power up, ferry back to home and cook up dinner.
Today we are back on the ferry to Como, walk along the foreshore to check out some large villas on the west side - now all owned by the Como Provincial Government, then onto the 'fast boat' and up to Menaggio which is midway north up the lake. Although we were just there for two hours, that was enough for me to get a feel of the city. The people are all fashion forwarded. Although I knew Milan is the city of fashion I never expected everyone, and I mean everyone, to be dressed so nicely. From young to old, tall to short, everyone ...

    Day 36 - Milan

A travel blog entry by nolesy65 on Jul 30, 2013

... and we were blessed to up there at nearly 6pm so the light was amazing and the view incredible. We would have stayed up there longer but we wanted to look through the cathedral that shut at 7pm, forgetting that Bron was wearing a sleeveless top and shorts and could not get in so Tony went by himself. It was absolutely massive, but very dark though the floor was magnificent the rest needed the renovations to head that way. After the cathedral we wandered ...
