... find the river walk. It was only a few blocks away. We walked to Blackbird Island and then on to Leavenworth Golf Course on Icicle Road near where we went for our bird walk. Then we walked back to where we started and continued our walk to the end of the trail at the other end of town. I was over 10,000 steps on my fit bit well before we finished the walk. All along the trail there were signs talking about the natural history, the Native ...

We've seen blue sky for a few days in a row now, a welcome change from the heavy, oppressive smoke, so I was able to get back out and go running for the first time in a few weeks and boy did that feel good!

The cool, fresh air inspired Rob and I to clean the house today, top to bottom. Dusting the bookshelves and washing the walls ...

So smoky due to the fires! We just wanted to get some air, finding the fresh stuff just south of the US/Canadian border.

We stopped at a fruit stand in Summerland to get gifts. Stopped at the border to give them all of our tomatoes and green onions. Stopped to convert the car's electronics back to miles from kilometers. Finally stopping at Leavenworth for the ...
