Travel Day


Because we didn’t have far to travel today we did not rush this morning and had a leisurely breakfast. Once on the road we headed east on US Rt. 40, where we passed through beautiful mountain country containing small towns and large ski resort areas, the road for the most part was good but we did encounter a climb of 6 miles at a 6% grade followed by a descent of 6% for 6 miles and then 4 miles at 5%; ...

Left Golden CO. This morning, last leg of the trip, 800 miles via I 70East. Silos, hay bales & corn fields our scenery for the next 2 days. Made it all the way to Paxico KS. 97 degrees here! Since we got to our site I think we have counted 6 trains have gone by. These campgrounds don't list things like that!! Anyway pretty excited that we will be back home by tomorrow afternoon, has been a great trip but there's no place like ...

In 2001, I dropped out of art school. In 2004 I was divorced and living in my parent's basement in Tennessee. In 2007 I finished my BS with a double major in Physics and Photojournalism. And in 2012 I graduated with my MS in Materials Science. Before 2012, I may have needed to prove something to myself. But by 2012, I was ready for a vacation. And so I decided to have one.
