312 miles - set off at some un-Godly hour to drive from Chesterfield to Fife, Scotland to watch football! Trish likes the journeys but thinks the idea is crazy. Anyway, we are here now! Prior to the match we walked around the town - NOT Scotland's biggest attraction. Anyway, 2:30pm and I arrive at the ground ready for the match. One stand is fairly ...
Methhill, Scotland, United Kingdom chrisontour... to be nothing less that spectacular. There were no trees, but the valleys and hills and dunes of grass were just as difficult if not worse to hit into than trees. Of course, my first shot went directly into the long grass. As I prepared to hit, i misjudged the distance between my ball and my golfbag, thinking I had plenty of room to swing. Little did I know, my depth perception is not as great and I imagined and my bag was far too close. On my downswing i tapped ...
St. Andrews, Scotland, United Kingdom koreywhite... to be blown away into the sea by the stiff winds! Then we stopped at another "pretty little fishing village" further up the coast, Pittenweem this time, and walked around the harbour briefly. Again it was cold, boasted a selection of scummy public toilets, and there wasn't much ...
St. Andrews, Scotland, United Kingdom sianeth... hope that this will serve as a record of our travels and will also help to keep us in touch with friends and family.
I should be uploading photographs to accompany this but at this stage I am unwilling to share the shambles that we are surrounded by! Piles of clothes and shoes - many of which I know that I will have to discard!
Our plans are almost ...
... The answer is, "very".
All you have to do is arm yourself with a few facts and figures, namely your postcode, who your current supplier is, how much energy you use each month and what you're paying for it. Then visit one of the well-known price comparison websites where it will take just a few seconds to compare the gas prices offered by suppliers in your area ...
... day across most of Scotland, and I wanted to climb something relatively close, not too challenging or busy, and with decent views to exploit the weather. A quick google search threw up the Lomond Hills - the highest points in Fife, and less than an hour away ...

We were delighted to spend the night at a beautiful old hotel - The Old Manor House Hotel - overlooking a golf course - the Lundin Golf Course (not St Andrews - bit further away) - and with sea views. We had a lovely long walk on the beach and both made sure we touched the waters of the north Atlantic for the first time.
... as they had just gotten out of school. We found a nice little pub in a town named Elie and had a nice pint as well as a nice tomato soup with a bacon roll. Quite nice!
We headed back to Frenich Farm and arrived back at about 5:00. What a really nice day. Tomorrow we head to Edinburgh. We will turn in our car and tour around the city a bit more. Our flight is heading home on Saturday morning. Sorry to leave, but looking forward to getting home.

Dundee, United Kingdom rossport... one of the clubs by the course. After a little more exploring of the local shops, we left St. Andrews. Our next destination was Dundee, but on the drive we drove through the 2nd of my father's favorite Scottish town names-Leuchars. We've now had dinner and gotten settled for the night. We also have our first night of both electrical outlets and internet. Tomorrow the plan is to visit a few castles in this part of Scotland. Pedometer report: 2.7 miles for Emily & me. Paul walked 18 holes.
