... some potatoes, and stripy bacon. Bacon wasn't that good sadly. To fatty, perhaps they like it thus was over in the states. When we were back in the room we spotted a humpback whale and managed to take a few pictures of it. Then in the afternoon while ordering some drinks we saw another humpback whale! What a fantastic first day on board! Tomorrow we are arriving in Juneau where we will go see the Mendenhall glacier, eat some locally fished salmon and go on a whale watching ...

Awoke this morning early at 0530 due to some incredible sight coming up soon. ... old guy leading a sing-along on the piano! Sawdust on the floor and a colourful menu (see pictures!). A must do in Juneau. Afternoon drinks at the Hoopers and dinner in the Bordeaux Room (finally tried the huge crab legs … very nice!). Anne & I then ventured on to the 50’s Music Trivia where we were pipped at the post by 1 point by a team of 5 vs our 2 wannabe’s! Fancy not paying ‘Twist Again’ for ‘Twist’ ...

... Matt took Sarah for ice cream, yes she went from complaining that it was cold to asking for ice cream. While they were away, I chatted with one of the sisters from breakfast. We both wondered about the ship going by all the ice bergs in the water. we decided that sonar and ship speed would prevent us from a Titanic moment.

We definitely could hear cracking, but didn't see ...
