... we only had an hour there which seemed too short to walk up to the glacier and back in time for the bus to pick us up. We had to rush back and were the last ones on the bus! We then boarded a boat which took us to Orca lodge, a cabin on one of the nearby islands where we had some Alaskan salmon (yummy!!). About an hour later we boarded the boat with the aim of seeing some whales. And boy ...

... it was one of our highlights it's where we took the white pass scenic railway,with a 2865 foot elevation,riding in vintage rail cars retracing the original route
to the white pass summit,the views were spectacular,a must for any tourist.

we stayed on the ship when we went through Tracy arm Fjord,we woke up to see chunks of ice
floating everywhere and beautiful glaciers it was stunning

And the last stop was Victoria the capital ...

... musical. Both very good! Jo Ann Saw a couple of bald eagles coming into port. Mt. Roberts tramway was good. Nice views of the harbor and beyond. Would have liked to hike some.if we had more time. First helicopter ride ever to get to Mendenhall Glacier for dogsledding. Maya and I were lucky enough to sit up front. Awesome views of the mountains and glaciers. ... without them because the whales are so huge but we saw much more detail with them and we got to see the eagles close up because of them. I would love to try to publish some of the pictures but i am paying by the minute for the internet connection and it takes me so long to download them. it will be fun to see them when we get home. i feel so full - this day was so incredible. marty has loved it too and he says if we weren't going home to our wonderful family he would never want to come ...
