I slept good and woke to blue skies. Finally! D.P. took us to several lookout spots to take pictures of Denali (Mt. McKinley) before he left us to return to work in Healy. Only 30% of the visitors to Alaska ever get a chance to see the "great one" out of the clouds so we were feeling pretty lucky. I walked through the gift shoppes and galleries in town while Buddy tooled around with Greg, the bush pilot allowing us ...
Left for Denali Visitor's Center at 8:30. Attended an informative Ranger talk about Bears wolves and predator control. A ranger figured out that a bear scat will have over 20,000 seeds! ... br> We were met by one of the park rangers who was the image of Harry Potter (the ambo)..

This was followed by a demonstration of the dogs doing their thing pulling a sled around on a gravel track as well of displays of the harnesses and equipment ...
... to worry as I will do one FINAL post tomorrow to tell you about tonight and to celebrate getting back to St. Louis. We get into St. Louis around 1:30 tomorrow afternoon and then go to the Cardinal game tomorrow night. That will force us to get acclimated to the time change!
We've enjoyed hearing from so many of you on our journey and it was nice to know you were enjoying following our journey and enjoying our pictures.
