Buongiorno Roma!

... we had our Roma Passes and could skip the long entry lines.   Time to find lunch, so we turned towards Monti, passing the Ludus Magnus - the most famous gladiator training school - on the way. It's only half visible; the rest is under a street and more recent buildings.   After lunch at Naumachia in via Celimontana (tonnarello with cacio e pepe), it was back for another circuit of the Colosseum, before turning down the via Di Fori Imperiali. The weather man must have taken pity on us because we woke to another beautiful day. It was a long driving day today through some beautiful Italian countryside. We arrived at our hotel in Rome at aproximately 3pm and 28 degrees. We had a little over an hour to refresh ourselves before heading into the City of Rome for a walking tour and dinner. We had the expert knowledge of a local tour guide ...
