... off just before lunch time.

The canal's current zipped us right out to the Delaware Bay where we spent our afternoon into the evening traveling to the Bay's entrance. Of course the closer we got to the ocean, the higher and choppier the waves got as it seemed all those thunderstorms rolling across land were chasing us out to sea. ...

... there were up to 50 in the area - not that we could count them!!! Whales are gone for the season, but there were plenty of dolphins.
The tour took 2 hours and on the return headed us South East round the Cape, past the lighthouse (which we had climbed 3 days ago), past the Nunnery and Cape May beach, into the Cape May harbor . In all we had circumnavigated the complete Island. A great morning out.

... a really cool authentic 'lobster shack' style family restaurant complete with tacky ship ornaments and nautical wall paper. The owner in his 80's still comes over to each table and personally checks that your meal is up to scratch. Dylan had a feast of lobster, shrimp and clams. We even got free 'mothers day' fudge to give to our momma... Sorry mums we ate it!! After an exhausting day we were ready for a good nights sleep ...
