The last day of our trip we were meant to go to Akaroa, a harbour town inside of a flooded volcano summit, where Paige was going to swim with the dolphins and I was going to go on a nature cruise. Today is January 13...2009! I went to work today thinking I only had a three hour shift from 7-10 in the Cafe. Got to work and was told I have a split shift and am being trained on front counter! YIKES! The breakfast crowd was pretty good though. Everything was easy enough, but I am making little mistakes here and there. Oh well. It's only McDonalds...I won't sweat it ...

We're now a mere 85km from Christchurch on the Banks Peninsula in the Frenchified town of Akaroa, taking gentle strolls and possibly going on a vintage boat tomorrow if the weather is right. Then we just have to decide on one more stop before our last week in Christchurch on March 2nd.Don't know where the time went but hopefully we'll see some of you soon!
