Travel Blogs from Portovenere

Pisa, Viareggio, Cinque Terre, Italy.

... Pisa first thing! Pisa is a small town, easy to get around, and a very big university place! It's super cute! The leaning tower was really cool to see. We did the typical "holding the tower up" pose. We also watched people pose in front of it for about an hour which was super entertaining. A lot of people did the mid-air jumping pose and I recorded about 10 videos of that! We walked around the town for a bit and than we headed back! We looked ...

Italy Liguria

Driving in Italy is definitely going to be more challenging. Within the first half hour of reaching Italy we were tooted at for taking more than half a second to move away from the traffic lights, honked at by a juggernaut for something only he knows the answer to, and screamed at by a car park attendant for taking too long to turn around in his car park. Add to this the stomach squelchy heights ...

The move from Florence to La Spezia was fine - a 40 minute delay - which I never really understood, was the only issue. My Air B and B host met me at the train station, which is service beyond compare. The walk would have been about 10 minute, including me questioning ...

Private tour of the Gulfo de La Spezia

... Last stop - swimming in the Med! Its saltier than home and we float around care-free...until realising that we've actually moored onto a nudist beach (or what we figure is the "norm" in Italy) ...giggling wildly we make our way back to the boat after a few stares from our neighbours (probably wondering why we are so covered up) haha.... You guessed it, pizza and Lambrusco for dinner. ...
