... was delayed about 15 minutes and then a train came at about the right time and hundreds of walkers piled on, including us, but David not wanting to!
Then our train sails past all the stations going in the other direction. Eventually we stopped at the first village and David set off from there to do the hardest walk from Monterooso to Vernazza and then on to Cornigilla which is set at the top of a hill and the only village not on the sea.

We put Joey (5 years old) on “Police Watch” but he soon took advantage of his position and started shouting “POLICE” every 2 minutes. We did see them a couple of times but managed to hide quickly and avoid prosecution during the 45 minute drive, much to everyone's relief!
