Travel Day

Leaving Vicksburg we headed west on I-20 across Louisiana
to Shreveport, and from there we headed north on US 71 into Arkansas and our
destination of Mena Arkansas. We arrived
at our good friends, Sue and Al, home late in the afternoon. After an enjoyable dinner at a local restaurant
we spent the evening catching up on what has happened since we last saw them.

Ate breakfast at the hotel (Super 8), it was better than expected. Still the standard hotel breakfast fare. But the biscuits and gravy won me over. After we got checked out of the hotel and on our way we spent a good amount of time wandering around the town of Hope trying to get a good picture of the Hope water tower.
